I have two issues publishing the app to Google Play.
1) How to use SEND_SMS permission for tablet? I cannot install the app from Play store with this permission.
I have an app built with xamarin forms PCL. The app requires : INTERNET and SEND_SMS permissions.
If the app is published without SEND_SMS then I can install it, otherwise the message shown is "Device is not compatible with this version".
If I test on the device in debug mode with both permissions set, everything is working fine, I can send SMS.
2) How to showcase the app in the "Designed for tablets" ?
The app is listed as : "Designed for phones".
I followed the instructions in "Store Listing" : "For your app to be showcased in the 'Designed for tablets' list in the Play Store, you need to upload at least one 7-inch and one 10-inch screenshot. If you previously uploaded screenshots, make sure to move them into the right area below."
I have uploaded 2 screenshots for each 7" and 10" and no screenshots for the phone.
My tablet model is : Lenovo A7600-H. V34,, 2015/03/24
